New Years Eve Day-- December 31 2011-- AND A CARD

Hi Everyone,

Farewell 2011, I can not believe how quickly this year has gone by.  My goal for this past year was to start a blog and post on it everyday. I felt like a 13 year old with a new diary.  What do I write? Who will read it? Do I want any want to read it? Does anyone want to read it?
It certainly took a different turn from what I originally thought it would be.
I pretty much ramble on a lot.  My You tube videos are even more of a ramble, but they do get viewed and people have requested more, so I continue on..

I continue on because of all of you, I am encouraged and inspired, by each and everyone of you. I do believe my designs have improved and this has added another layer of interest to my art.  Stay tuned next year for more excitement. I'm not sure what next year holds, but the ride sure is enjoyable with all of you along.

THANKFUL THURSDAY- A CHALLENGE AND A GIVEAWAY $15 Michaels gift card

Hi Everyone,

Here we are, less than 3 days and it will be 2012.
I was so excited about all the entries in my Thankful Party challenge I'm going to do another challenge.

I have noticed that peoples live can be changed by being thankful for what they do have and make it a point to say it, instead of dwelling on what they don't have.
I was on the phone with Provo craft for over two hours yesterday, long story short they will be sending me a new cartridge for the one that is not working correctly in my imagine machine. At one point they had me packaging up my imagine machine and sending me a refurbished one.
During this long process I dropped the phone on my big toe of my right foot. Thankfully it isn't broken, but it sure hurts and I have a big bruise on it. What am I leading up to?  I don't know, I am just rambling. Here is a challenge for you.
I am sure you all need thank you cards this time of year.  I know I do.
Here is one that  I made: Challenge: A thank you card- any colors any reason
This is a 4x6 card I have used Bo-bunny echo park AC card stock and paper trey ink
stamp Inkadinkadoo, ink Tim Holtz festive berries. Coffee cup  Image from enjoy the season

 $15.00 Michael s Gift card:
To be eligible you must be in the challenge

You can enter up to 3 cards and please comment on other peoples posts, it makes it more fun. I will leave this challenge open until 11:59 Jan14, 2012

Thursday again My Pink Stamper 12 days of Christmas DAY 9

I really enjoyed  the video Courtney did over at My Pink Stamper.  I tried to do my bow too quickly and made it wrong and then it fell  apart. This was mainly do to the fact, the paper I used was too thick, I love the paper, it is from my minds eye Christmas, but it is only one sided.
On my second attempt I used a thinner double-sided paper and it is another favorite Graphics 45, and the effect is much better. I will link this up for the 9th day of the 12 days of Christmas over at My Pink Stamper.  Guess what stamp set I used?

If you guessed MY PINK STAMPER "Winter treats and Sayings"  you got it right. I really like the way my second bow came out. I stamped on vellum with Tim Holtz distressed Festive berries

I have one more post for tonight and then I have to go do something really creative----- iron. Hopefully I can visit tonight.

THURSDAY- AGAIN and some challenges

"Hope"  (get It)  Your evening is going well.

I got in the art room for  a little while this evening before I go get dinner ready. I have been wanting to use these papers that I won over at ARTFUL DELIGHT. Everything on this page, except for the skater which is Core'dinations is from my win and the papers are Bo BUNNY.
I really like the way this came out and I am entering it in the Artful delights sketch challenge and the Bitten by the bug challenge. I used the Winter Woodland cart for the sentiment and the skater.

I don't normally do layouts,  for some reason winter seems to be the time to do one

THANKFUL THURSDAY ----GIVEAWAY---and I found MY HOPE

If you look really closely you can see that the hope is on the back side of another stamp. I must have set that on top of the hope while it was on the block and then, when I picked it up to put it away, Hope went with it.

Hope on the back of another year older ----Whats that all about.  I would have liked it better if it had stuck to another year wiser.  Or you are fabulous or.........                any way I am glad I found it and thanks to all of you for your encouragement I knew I would find my hope. and I did and on that note I will do another Thankful Thursday giveaway a $15 Joann's or Michael's Gift card.

Remember to be here on Jan 1st for my 1 year anniversary blog hop.  You will really want to be at this one.

WEDNSDAY- EVENING --another folded Tag

Good Evening.   I thought I would get working on some more tags for the treats, that  I'll be making in a few days. We have some friends that stop by every Christmas Season and I usually have something for them.  I decided to make some treats. We will see what turns out the best.
This tag was made from a sizzix die, cut out from white card stock folded over, then I made another cut with the Holiday Flourishes and swirls 8x8 paper from Paper trey ink.  I put one stickles red dot on the tree to resemble an ornament the other glittery pieces are scraps that punch out from the last ornament that I had made.
Prior to put the decorations on this tree, I used some Tim Holz ink to distress the tree trunk in brown and the tree itself in green.

The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper "Winter treats and Sayings"

CELEBRATE THE OCCASION-

I've designed for CTO since the beginning and it has been a lot of fun. This will be my last post as a DT member with CTO for now. I'm sure there is a lot of new and exciting things that will be happening as the new team will be announced next year. It is not really that far away. I wish the new team all the best and on that note I would like to invite you to join in on this weeks challenge. In honor of Adrian's favorite colors I felt my last post would be to honor her for picking me on the team for not just 1, but two terms, and I just love the way this came out.

The challenge is to make a shaped Christmas card. I made this on my gypsy. I welded the card in black, cut out a black out in the red and then the basic image in the white glitter paper.
You have until Sunday 11:59 to link up your project to be eligible for the monthly prize.
My stamping looked really good until my thumb smeared the little a little. haha
The sentiment is from MY pink stamper "Winter Treats and sayings"
I used festive berries ink from Tim Holtz distressed.
The papers are form DCWV and AC.
Have a great day! Diana

MONDAY- MORNING - A Folded Tag from a Die -cut

Good Morning Everyone,

I am still working on these Christmas cards I have never been this late getting them out before.   I just finished a job for someone that was like a rubrics cube.  I won't go into. I am not taking on any more work until my show comes down.

The other night I decided to check and see if my gypsy was up to date. It needed updating. It was 11:20. I figured it would take 20 minutes, so I knew  I could  stay up until midnight. It took almost two hours to update.
I did not get to bed until 1:20 it took a long time to update.  Just letting you all know in case you are thinking of updating your gypsy. I was really dragging the next day.
Got busy working on a tag this morning.

I made this tag from PTI's "on my couch"  This is a great tag for the couch potatoe on your list.
It is how I make my shaped cards. The paper is folded in half, then cut  and then another image is cut out completed on a single sheet and then glued to the folded card/tag. I added embellishment in this case holly and two tiny jingle bells. the stamped image in side is from  MPS "Winter Treats and sayings" I used Tim Holtz evergreen  bough from the Holiday ink set

Good Evening Everyone,

I was out muffin cups so I decided to make the cake in a bread pan and then slice it. It was church y luncheon and how sinful of me I took Devil's food cake.

Photo #2 We are not putting up a tree this year so I borrowed this one so I can link up over at Docerela creations.

That was another luncheon I went to last week. It was in the redwood forest very beautiful setting  there are a number of clubhouses at this retreat/conference center

Photo #4 the trees have not completely lost their leaves here so this one was just breathtaking against the green

Photo #5 orange marmalade cake- from the Mitford series. You Mitford people know what I am talking about.
Th last 4 photos are from the second luncheon I went to.

I hop you have enjoyed my photos I have been real busy trying to get my Christmas cards addressed and mailed.  I am 3 days late this year.

Have a great evening
